Live wildlife feeder cam
A camera pointed at a bird feeder in the Cairngorms, streaming live. Red squirrels are the regulars; woodland birds come and go through the day. The sound is left on, so you hear the birdsong and the wind with them.

What you're watching
Sixty metres from the pod
The feeder is backed by trees rather than fences, so what fills the frame is real Cairngorms woodland — the same trees our guests look out on. We keep it stocked with nuts and seed for the reds and the birds.
The camera sits about 60 metres from our Muckle Meadow pod. Guests can watch this exact patch of ground from the pod deck — the cam is simply the version you can see before you arrive. There's more about the wildlife around the property on our Our Place page.
A word of honesty
It's a wild feeder, not a zoo. It's busiest at dawn and dusk and quietest in the middle of the night. If you look in and the feeder is empty for a moment, that's normal — give it a little time and something usually turns up.
How we look after it
We clean and re-stock the feeder all year, following the hygiene guidance from Scotland's red squirrel groups — a shared feeder is a place animals gather, and looking after it properly matters. The camera is kept low-key and at a distance: the point is to watch the wildlife without getting in its way.

The best way to watch this woodland is from inside it. Muckle Meadow is the pod nearest the feeder; both pods and the four B&B rooms put you a short walk from the same trees.
